Explore Salubrious Munnar
When you've had enough of cosying in the plush interiors of the hotel, head for the hills. Try boating at the Mattupetty Dam. Motor past tea gardens, green and captivating. A scenic drive will take you to Munnar's highest point, Top Station, from where you can gaze across the border into Tamil Nadu. Wildlife, hills, lakes… all this and more awaits you at Munnar.

The Climate
The season is traditionally from August to June when it is most pleasant. Temperatures at this time range between 18 to 25 degrees. June to July is off-season due to the torrential monsoons.

Places to see in and around Munnar
Mattupetty 15 km from Munnar, Mattupetty is at a height of 1700 meters above sea level. The Indo Swiss Cattle Project and the dam are the chief attractions.	Kundala 28 km from Munnar and situated 1800 meters above sea level, it features a dam and one of Asia's largest golf course.
Top Station 28 km from Munnar, this is its highest point at 1911 meters above sea level. The peak straddles the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border.	Pullivasal Where beautiful waterfalls abound.
Plantations Visit plantations to see tea, coffee, cardamom, ginger and pepper, the crops that cover the hillsides.	Anamudi Around 25 km from Munnar is Anamudi, South India's highest peak (2695 meters above sea level). It is located in the famous Eravikulam National Park.
Rajamalai 13 km from Munnar, here you can sight the elusive Nilgiri Tahr or the Varayadu.	Marayoor 40 km from Munnar, Marayoor is a land of Stone Age relics and sylvan sandalwood groves.
Chinnar 70 km from Munnar, on the way to Udumalpet , this is a nationally renowned wildlife sanctuary.
